Silver Lining

So, I've been cursing 2001 for all the crap I've got from it so far. I figure I need to force myself to think of the silver lining of all my gray clouds... positive, yeah, that's it!

The bright side of being sick for two weeks or something is that I got caught up the back episodes of Babylon 5. I think I watched the first 3 seasons almost straight through, and am working on the 4th season as it is being shown on Sci/Fi Channel in wide screen format. Pretty cool. Now the few episodes I have seen are all starting to make sense.

The bright side of the 10 days of lack of contact while on Cape Cod was that I got to read most of the book "Mathilda's Journey" written by my great uncle about my great grandmother. Enlightening.

The bright side of having my car in the shop is that for only $10 upgrade, I get to test drive a Chevy Blazer for two days. I already know I wouldn't want to buy one, but I didn't want to get stuck with an escort, if you know what I mean.

The bright side of this darn protein diet is that I have lost 20 pounds so far and I can have some sweets, but I need to make them more special, less crappy chocolate. :)

The bright side of falling down the stairs was... darn, can't think of anything at the moment. It made me sick so I had to stay home so I got to watch a bunch of TV? Doesn't quite work.

The bright side of Thursday is being one day away from the weekend.

Looking forward to seeing some folks at Ice.
