Picturesque Bermuda
2005-07-14 - 2:40 p.m.
written
updates to follow, but here are some snapshots from other peoples
cameras
Coastline of St. George's Island,
and I think Pete just liked the lines of this sailboat moored with the
wreck of the Typhin in the background
(Typhin=rust covered thing that
other boats are tied off to on the left)
Niece #2 as we set sail from Boston
Wise Aunt Jen Dances with Nieces to
island music on Day 1
Hula girl Nieces prepare to sail
Boarding Captain Jerry's Sloop as
we head out to circumnavigate St. George's and swim in Whale Bone Bay
(astonishingly, the lady in pink is
not me, but my sister)
Weird flower we took a picture of
during the self-guided walking tour of St. George, led by Tour Guide
Barbie
Next we headed out on a Catamaran
to Turtle Bay on St. David's Island
Isolated Turtle Bay
Swimming in Turtle Bay
more swimming...
The dangerous Swimming and Laughing
technique (or Jen does her dolphin impression)
Alan and I looking almost dignified
on the Cat
Uncle Pete and I looking decidedly
undignified on the Cat
Nieces photo-op, preparing to leave
the islands
Nieces with "Grand-Mary"
Partial group shot with the scenic
buildings of St. George's in the background
Leaving Bermuda
Majesty's wake as we depart the
islands and head back to Boston
And if you can believe it, that's not the half of it. There was
still caving, swimming in an underground lagoon, snorkeling, kayaking,
shopping, the walking tour, lots of food, sea-glass hunting in Building
Bay, sunset carriage ride, etc.
