Repeat Unwelcome Visitor...
2006-01-03 - 2:04 p.m.

Last week we noticed a return visit from our unwlecome Heron of last year. Okay, chances that it is the same bird are slim I guess, but just the same, any heron in our yard is unwelcome. Unless they have their beaks taped shut, which would be illegal... So, after rescuing one roughed up fish from the yard, Alan pulled back out the unattractive yet fish proteting bird netting. Mr. Heron did come back to visit and puzzle out how to get through the netting, luckily with no success. Maybe said bird has now moved on and we can take off the netting soon, but better safe than sorry. Pretty birds, so long as they aren't harrassing our koi.

Christmas and New Years were excellent. We stayed close to home for Baby Jesus's birthday, and resumed our traditional plans of dinner and tack hunting with Bob and Laura. Laura cooked an wonderfully rare roast and some yorkshire pudding, as well as a tasty trifle. yummy! Alan and I spent the rest of the time watching the various DVDs from Santa 'n Friends, and relaxing in the basement, with a pause for a Havorc and MENG sighting at Tara's place. New Years was yet another fun party at Maxie and Markie's place with excellent food, tasty drinks and fun costumes. I think Armistice Day took the cake though. The cool bullet to the head cake that Cosette was inspired to make...

Now I'm back at work, feeling yucky, Twelfth Night around the corner...
