guys, what to wear

So, Tuesday night on BBC America's What Not to Wear, they revamped the style of a bloke instead of a lady. It was really enlightening, especially since this particulary guy is shaped like a bunch of the fellas in the SCA. 6'4", baby face and a slightly big belly.

First thing they made him do was toss out his old polo shirts that were too snug that he tucked in. They said it made him look bigger than he really was, by accentuating his tummy. So they got him out of those and into v-neck long sleeve shirts. These weren't too tight so they had the effect of looking fitted. They also got him out of white sneakers and into some fashionable dark shoes, not dress shoes, but not sneakers either. And lastly they got him a suit that fit, single breasted, not double breasted (apparently that will only accentuate the belly) and pin-striped to accent the vertical. And then they cut the hair in his face (bangs, fringe) and had him grow a goatee and blammo, a new fresh sexy big guy. It was truly amazing the difference that a few new shirts, and new shoes had on the guy. He went from looking like a gigantic 13 year old to the lead singer of Smashmouth.

okay, enough of the What Not to Wear fan club. It is a pretty amazingly fun show tho. I can't imagine that the American version is nearly as funny though.

yeah well, my brain has left the building, so you guys take care.

By the way, I was banished to the 3rd level of Hell, that area for Gluttons. and don't my ass show it... :)
