so, back to the squirrels... (read Wendy's diary for the beginning of this story...)

So, there is this wonderful squirrel song that Tom once sent me the lyrics to. Well obviously I had to search the internet for the lyrics to this said song. It's a great song, I swear, and while I found the lyrics I ceased to search for the mp3 of it. This resulted in me singing the song for my lovely lady friends... (my abject apologies to you both..) Of course in the meantime I found a completely different song that involved a a squirrel saying wheeeeee!!! be prepared for gonads and strife...

so, as a status to the squirrels, there are roughly 12 at this point, and yet more to come... (so far it seems that beast #5 is the troublesome one.) One large bottle of chardonnay is gone, one regular size bottle of white zin, a few ciders and some yummy chocolate turtles from Roots. The boys returned from the event, the soggy event that they retreated inside for... after the southern woman tried to push food on them for 3 hours, they finally decided to escape the sewing room silliness and forage for cooked flesh downstairs...

We listened to Garrison Keillor during the second bottle of wine, the best line so far regarding Thanksgiving...

"And at the end of the evening you pray that genetics is not all powerful!"

And luckily Tracie is proof of this, emphasized by every visit to her Tennesse relatives...

oh dear, it is only 11 pm, and folks are already running for glasses of water to sober up. Mind you this was likely brought on by the random comments about who is driving home...

and we got to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets last night. Totally worthy movie. Mad props to Ms. Gina for getting us tickets, and waiting in line for 2+ hours so that we would be 8th in line for entry to the theater, thus giving us first and second row seats! Go see it! I highly recommend it.
