Congrats HnMG!!!

So, I was chatting on the phone last night with Corby about Pennsic stuff and the end of the conversation went like this:

Me: Any other questions or comments?
Corby: Gen, has anyone told you lately that you're the bomb?
Me: Everyday! But I never tire of hearing it...

And then in my inbox, I got a message from Crush Link that someone has a crush on me, or something. My response is DUH!, how can I narrow it down to just one. :) Oh, what a cruel trick to play too. As Kristy found out, you only get to find out who has a crush on you by guessing the right one. Otherwise, the other folks you guess then find out you have a crush on them. Mind you the only one I truly have a crush on is my sweetie, so it's really pointless...

This weekend involved more drinking than is healthy, but it's a once in a lifetime experience. Friday night involved no alcohol, which was for the best since I was finally filing the MoAS files to hand off to the Keig to take to Kat. This was a little kitty dander irritating, but not too bad, and I did have them together and such by midnight, so I was happy. Saturday was Brian and Nancy Ellen's wedding. It was short, sweet, the bridesmaids looked lovely, the bride was stunning, and the reception was a blast. Q handed me his camera to take pics since I was in the front row of the balcony they shooed the friends to. Sadly a picture over the railing got the chandelier in the way, but if I knelt down, and shot through the railing uprights, I got great, if highly elevated pictures. I got at least one of the rings being put on. Q, I wanna see them when they are developed. The the fun happened at the reception. The first thing discovered was the open bar, the second thing was the plate of smoked seafood (salmon, shrimp and oysters, oh my!). They held it in a cute historic inn, so no room had enough seating, but it was cute, and had lots of places to stick pictures of the bride and groom. The 1999 Miss Lousiana pic was the best. They were all so cute, it was very charming. The food was great, but the company was greater! Got to chat with T and Eorann. Q, and Keig, and Cu and Trisha, and even Katie, our wonderful Katie was there! We were surrounded by many cool folks, not not all cool folks, as it was a small reception. Tara and I nearly missed the tossing of the bouquet, since we had taken off our shoes, and went to go put them back on and they tossed it without us. We were strangly okay with that fact.

At one point in time, since we came down with Bob and Laura, we looked at each other and asked who was driving. Should have planned it out in advance. Since Laura had too much whine, I mean wine, and I had rum and diet cokes, and Alan had a few GnT's, we asked what Bob was drinking. Beer. only beer? then, Bob is our driver, excellent. Wait, where is Bob? Out on the courtyard? Hey, Kenny? Can you go to the courtyard and tell Bob he's driving us? tee hee hee... Afterwards we transferred the files to Keig's truck, drank a little more, and then got kicked out of the reception site. Many of us decided to head on down to Red, Hot and Blue for ribs and food other than yummy hors d'ouvers. 13. Give us a space away from other customers. Trust us. Our poor waiter was still recovering from Ozz fest, but otherwise he was pretty good. We all crammed in, had a great time, drank some more, paid the tab and finally made our way home-ish. A few of us decided to go to Bob and Laura's and drink more. Bob drove us home, dropped us off, and they headed back to their place in the miata, whilst we changed clothes and fed the fishies, waiting for one of us to soper up to drive to BnL's. Luckily, Alan did. :) There was more drinking and hanging out etc. until midnight with BnL, Matt and Susan and us. we few, we happy few...

Sunday involved waking up late, since after we got back from BnL's Alan checked something work related and ended up going into the office until 3:30am, and made our way to meet MnS, and BnL at the Ram's Head Tavern for Brunch. For those not in the know, the Ram's Head Tav. in Savage Mills has a great Brunch, including one free bloody mary or mimosa per person with brunch. yummy! That was fun, we went home and took naps, me on the leather couch and Alan on a cot by the pond. what a lovely day. Then we headed down to Kevin's to pick up the trailer for pennsic, and the following cargo: our 16x30 common tent, and beth's stuff to include a bucket o'stuff, and two large pavilions. wow, and we'll have plenty of room, oh the glory.... Thanks Kevins for helping us out. And McPhee's little puppy is sooo darn cute!

then we had an impromptu cookout since Alan decided it would be easier to pull the truck into the driveway and have some guys over to move the trailer around into place, than to try to back the truck and trailer into place. Worked like a dream and we ate yummy pieces of flesh seared over the open flame... ah, heaven....

uh, getting truck out of shop. gotta run!
